They are not a popular choice here, but I think they would fit well.


The primary reason they aren't popular is their lack of college football historical strength. However, if they come in the context of Notre Dame coming, we'll get that football strength from Notre Dame, and UConn could bring other stuff. And UConn football isn't any worse than Maryland was IMO.

I also like the potential for recruiting students to ACC schools from one of the more wealthy northeastern states in Connecticut. They can pay higher tuition.
